Contest Rules

Each person can enter up to 3 pictures

I will send you a notification e-mail to say that I have received your entry.

Only pictures taken between 1st of June and 31st of August are eligible.

Each entry must have a title, your full name and must be sent from a valid e-mail address in file format of Title.jpg The titles will not be displayed before voting has ended.

Please make sure the EXIF info is removed so that equipment used does not come into the equation at all - Minolta, non-Minolta, Scans, point&shoot - everything welcome. After all, it is the person behind the camera that makes the biggest difference, not the camera!

NB: Also include the SAME version (identical) but with EXIF intact - this is compulsory as the timeframe will be strictly adhered to this time around!)

You also agree that I can add your name to your entry in the gallery after completion of voting. If you do not want me to do this PLEASE LET ME KNOW when entering!!!

The entries will be sorted in the album in the order in which I receive them until after voting after wchch they'll be in results order.

If you want to include a copyright statement, you're welcome to do so. If you don't want to let anyone know which are your entries before voting is over, you could always add it to the EXIF version which will replace your entry in the gallery after voting.

Pictures can be edited, but should not be created out of 'nothing'.

Pictures should not be offensive, and I'll be the judge of what is offensive.

To make it easier for people with dial-up connections to view your pictures: try not to exceed 500KB in file size, or 800 pixels if you want most people to be able to view in the original size you've sent.

I will have right-clicking disabled in this album to try to protect your copyright at least to some extent, and the gallery is 'hidden'.

If at any time you want to make changes to your existing entry, feel free to send me the changed version again, I honestly won't mind. Just as long as the general picture stays the same.

The weekend after the 'closing' date, I'll set up the voting rules and we can start voting!

If there is anyone you want to invite to this, please do so, the more the merrier. As long as everyone will do it in the same spirit - fun and friendship and sharing pictures is what it is all about after all!

Unfortunately there are no real prizes, apart from a big pat on the back from fellow forum members - and the infamous chance to see a thumbnail version of your picture displayed in the banner till the next winners are announced. By entering you give me permission to use it, if you would not want your picture to be used in this way, please make sure to say so when entering.

Go out (or stay in) and enjoy! I cant wait to see the entries. As soon as I have a few entries, I will 'publish' them, and after that as they arrive - and I'll let you guys and gals know where you can see them.
